about

Rewrite of "Declaration," which was written in the late nineties. "Declaration" is on the album "Oblong Square" by The Tracers. I rewrote the lyrics and added a chorus of sorts fall 2008, Baton Rouge, LA. Recorded 2009 Hot Springs, AR.

Originally on "Intimations of Immortality"

lyrics

It’s so hard to see
The one reality
In a world of myriad things
That shift so rapidly

Do not think in lines
Trapped in space & time
Look & you will find
These are products of the mind

I’ve looked deeply; I have searched within
When we die I know the spirit lives again
We are only empty vessels friend
Don’t be certain things are as they would appear
What we yearn for is very, very near

It’s so hard to change
The mind grooves in the brain
The chemical exchange
& Transcend the daily bane

The world’s not what it seems
So don’t lose yourself in forms
For it’s the ether of your dreams
From which the world is born

I’ve looked deeply; I have searched within
When we die I know the spirit will live again
We are only empty vessels friend
Don’t be certain things are as they would appear
What we yearn for is very, very near

about

My latest incarnation has me playing out often, sometimes touring, and writing and recording consistently. ... more
